About Us

Keith and I Have known Italy for over 40 years.  We first discovered this magical land individually, as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints several years before we even met each other.  I was called to the Italy, Padova mission, which included everything from Trieste, in the northeast, to Florence and Livorno in the middle-Mediterranean coast.  Keith was called to the Italy, Milan Mission, which included the regions of Piemonte, Lombardia, and most of Liguria.  individually, we fell in love with the people, language, food, and land of Italy.  when we later met after our missions, that love of our adopted home helped to bring us together.

Through the years we  have returned to Italy many times, first as poor college students camping, later with our children, and finally we decided it was time to purchase property in our beloved second homeland.  We started out with an 800-year-old medieval tower in Umbria , and several years later we purchased our beautiful old mills in Liguria.

Though we still live in Layton, Utah, where Keith practices architecture and I dabble in hundreds of things, a bit of our hearts will always be in Italy.
