No matter which direction you choose in Italy, any turn will lead you to someplace wonderful!

Here I will give you some tips for living everyday life in Italy.  From driving and where to park, to finding water, I'll help you understand things that may be a bit "foreign" to you.  This list won't be complete, but I will add to it over time.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to answer whatever I can.

Open markets are fun and inexpensive places to find everything from purses to nuts, to ducklings to pots and pans.  Most towns of any size have a designated market day every week.  Larger cities sometimes have daily markets.  The above market, one of the best ones in Umbria, is on Saturdays in perugia.  I can find information on markets in most regions for you.  Please feel free to contact me, if you would like me to help you.

Inspite of a seeming lack of traditional American drinking fountains, it is very easy to find fresh, safe drinking water in Italy, if you know where to look for it.  Beautiful old fountains spout clear water, safe for all to drink.    If a water source is not labeled "non potabile" (not drinkable) it is generally safe for consumption.

Look for green cross signs for full-service pharmacies.  Italian pharmacists can generally help you with more medicines than are available in the US over the counter.  Though we generally conduct all of our business in Italian when in Italy, I believe that most pharmacists can speak some English.

There is so much more to share about comfortable and confident travel and life in Italy.  I will add more in the future.  In the meantime, if you have questions, please feel free to contact me.
