Trento

Trento is a lovely city in the region of Italy where German and Italian cultures meet and blend beautifully.  This city, know for its beautiful frescos on the exteriors of many of the buildings, is also a great place to sample the wonderful cuisine that also blends the best of German and Italian foods.

Treviso

Treviso is a lovely small city less than 1/2 hour northwest of Venice, toward the mountains.  Its lovely medieval buildings and piazzas are framed with a lovely river and canals..

Udine

Udine, a small city in the heart of Friuli, at the base of the dolomite Mountains, is a relatively unknown gem.  We have greatly enjoyed wandering its streets,, and drinking some of the best hot chocolate we have ever had.

Venice

Venice really requires no description.  I would say, though, that getting away from the main tourist areas of Venice, and exploring its many hidden streets and corners is very rewarding.  Don't be afraid to wander and get a bit lost.

Verona

Verona is simply stunning.  With its incredible blend of Roman buildings, amphitheaters and other structures, added to beautiful medieval and Renaissance palazzi, all embraced in the curve of the beautiful Adige river with its stunning bridges... this city of Romeo and Juliet is truly one of the most romantic and beautiful cities of Italy.

Vicenza

Vicenza has the misfortune of sharing a region with such stunning neighbors as Venice, Verona, and Treviso.  A lovely city in its own right, Vicenza is overshadowed by its beautiful neighbors.

Vincenza is famous for its native son, Palladio, whose architectural style influenced building styles all the way to the Americas.  There are still some beautiful examples of the Palladian style of architecture in Vicenza and surrounding areas.
